New Patient Letter & Instructions
Dear Patient,
We are excited that you chose The Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center of Southern Indiana for your dermatologic care.
We are committed to providing the best and most comprehensive skin care possible. We look forward to seeing you at your upcoming appointment. In order to help us provide you with the best care and service, please read through these instructions before your appointment.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. This will allow our office staff time to check you in and establish you in our system.
Please fill out available paperwork prior to your appointment. This will help us get to you sooner and decrease your wait time on the day of your appointment.
Please bring: your insurance card and a list of your current medications, including dosages.
Please do not wear make-up or nail polish on the day of your appointment. Some skin conditions (including skin cancers) can be subtle and not able to be adequately evaluated through make-up and nail polish.
Dr. Landis offers and encourages full skin checks for ALL new patients. Skin cancers can be found anywhere and everywhere on your body. It is not uncommon for dermatologists to find a skin cancer or other concerning lesion on an area (such as the back) that patients are completely unaware of and did not come in to the doctor’s office for. A complete examination of the skin also gives us clues to other skin diseases. You can decline a full skin check, but it is offered and recommended. On the day of your appointment, our office staff will take you to the examination room and offer you a gown and a sheet for you to change in to for a full skin check.
Dr. Landis works very hard to provide thorough and exceptional care to each and every one of her patients. She does her best to stay on schedule and typically does. If, however, you have a brief and unexpected wait on the day of your appointment, we appreciate your patience and understanding. With the exceptional and thorough care we work hard to provide, we do see some very sick and very urgent patients. If you do experience a short wait prior to your appointment, we appreciate your patience.
We are located in the HCH Medical Pavilion, adjacent and connected to the main hospital. We are in Suite 250, across the hall from the elevator on the second floor.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time with any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you soon at your upcoming appointment!
Sincerely,
The Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center of Southern Indiana
